By supporting City Beerfest you are enabling these charities to continue their vital work:

Homewards

Homewards is a programme launched by Prince William and The Royal Foundation in 2023.

It is a transformative five-year programme that aims to demonstrate that together, it’s possible to end homelessness – making it rare, brief and unrepeated. Homewards is initially working in partnership with six flagship locations across the UK, Aberdeen, Bournemouth Christchurch & Poole, Lambeth, Newport, Northern Ireland and Sheffield.

The Homewards Coalitions in each location are working to make more affordable homes available, strengthening employment pathways and increasing training opportunities. The Lord Mayor’s Appeal’s is supporting this work through funds, collaboration and connections.

MQ Mental Health Research

MQ Mental Health Research is the only UK charity that exclusively invests in mental health research. MQ works to create a world where mental illness is understood, effectively treated and ultimately prevented.

The Lord Mayor’s Appeal with MQ has supported several new research programmes including the pioneering GALENOS project which aims to speed up global mental health research by two to three years.

The Appeal is also helping to support MQ’s new Scholarships programme, aimed at funding the work of the best and brightest early career research to create the next generation of sector leaders.
