Leadenhall Market to host series of free micro concerts this summer bringing international sounds to weekday afternoons for shoppers and diners.
From 1 August, Leadenhall Market will host Summer Sessions, a series of free nine micro concerts, supported by Eastern City Business Improvement District, that will bring live music to the Market’s cobbled passages on weekday afternoons.
Taking place on various Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 1 to 27 August, these free lunchtime sessions will offer an eclectic mix of musical styles in the heart of the City.
Time: Each day’s performances will be split into three 30-minute sets, starting at 12pm, with the final set ending at 2pm.

Friday 1 August – Wen Fei
Enjoy the delicate sounds of the pipa – a traditional Chinese lute – in this performance which blends traditional music with contemporary sounds.
Wednesday 6 August – Amore Acoustic
Romantic serenades and Italian vintage hits from conservatoire-trained musicians who bring the spirit of Naples to London.
Thursday 7 August – Steph’s Acoustics
Acoustic covers of pop, soul and indie favourites from a seasoned international vocalist and folk guitarist duo.
Friday 8 August – Simone & Alex
Jazz grooves and pop classics reimagined by this acoustic duo.
Thursday 14 August – Indie Rollers
Harmony-rich acoustic covers of pop, country, rock and Irish favourites from versatile performers Joe and Will.
Friday 15 August – Gypsy Jazz Strings
Dan and Ben bring two decades of musical friendship to life with foot-tapping jazz guitar and violin.
Wednesday 20 August – Annie & the Soul Hearts
Motown, mellow jazz and soulful vocals from leading name in London’s jazz scene.
Thursday 21 August – Vive Paris
An accordion-led acoustic band performing traditional French favourites straight from the streets of Paris.
Wednesday 27 August – Moon & Kym
A truly international offering that fuses flamenco, Latin, and North African rhythms.
Alongside the live music, visitors can explore Leadenhall Market’s vibrant mix of independent shops, bars, and restaurants. Family-run Rocca offers hearty focaccia sandwiches and fresh pasta while Empanadas are available from new tenant Chango Empanadas. Those in search of a taste of the Mediterranean can choose La Viña’s Spanish tapas while Osteria del Mercato serves authentic Italian cuisine. Fresh pastries are baked daily at Aux Merveilleux de Fred and The Lamb Tavern pours pints and serves food inspired by Leadenhall Market’s heritage of meat, poultry and game.
