A public talk on walking, cycling, and active travel infrastructure, with Will Norman, London’s Walking & Cycling Commissioner
Will Norman, London’s Walking & Cycling Commissioner, has led key city street improvements and seeks to make active travel the norm.
Driven by the Mayor’s vision for a healthier, greener and more inclusive city, London is reshaping its transport system by prioritising walking and cycling, investing substantially in active travel infrastructure. Segregated cycle lanes, low-traffic neighbourhoods, widened pavements and pedestrianised high streets are reshaping how people move through the streets.
Will Norman will be in discussion with Arthur Kay, urban designer, entrepreneur and author, exploring the progress, successes and challenges of changing London’s transport system, including his plans to make designing for pedestrians and cyclists a priority for any major city.
