
A revolving programme of family activities may have you heading into the Roman Amphitheatre and hearing tales of Roman conquests, or creating crafts from the Victorian paintings surrounding you.
Their next Second Saturday on 14 June will be inspired by artist Evelyn De Morgan’s championing of equal rights and her use of bright colours and rainbows. In celebration of Pride month, they will be exploring colour mixing and the use of rainbows as a symbol of hope, peace and diversity.
11am to 4pm Craft Activities:
- Create colourful angels or superheroes that celebrate the people in your life and the joy of being your true self.
11am and 2pm Storytime sessions:
- Story sessions celebrating Pride and LGBTQ+ artists (approx 20 mins)
Includes a story corner with portable library, cushions, costumes, and soft play building bricks.
Plan to make a day of it and bring a picnic lunch to have at the Guildhall Art Gallery (cloakroom) or eat nearby.
This event is for children aged 3 to 11 and their families. It is not suitable for individual adults.
The activities are free, whilst booking is advised - we also welcome walk-ins on the day.
