Celebrate the arrival of spring with a fun‑filled Painting Stations Second Saturday Family Day at Guildhall Art Gallery on 11 April.
Inspired by the Jock McFadyen exhibition, the Gallery will be getting out the paints and brushes - so you don’t have to.
Jock says, “All paintings are abstract. The subject of all my paintings is the paint”, which you will use as a springboard to make your own creations.
11 am - 4pm Creative Activities:
- Inspired by Jock's paintings of London Underground (and Surface), you will find multiple painting stations to freely explore different painting techniques.
11 am & 2 pm Story Time:
- Story sessions celebrating London, creativity, art, artists and the City.
There will also be a book corner with cushions, costumes, and soft play building bricks.
A free family-friendly guide to the exhibition is available at the welcome desk. The activities are free; however, booking is encouraged as it helps ensure there are enough resources for everybody. Walk-ins are welcome on the day.
