Animal Magic – Half Term Family Day

Book now

This half term, Guildhall Art Gallery is calling all junior art detectives!

On Wednesday 29 May, visit Guildhall Art Gallery for a trove of family-friendly activities for you and your little ones.

Become an art detective and join the hunt for animals hidden in the Gallery's paintings with the Animal Magic Gallery Trail. Inspired by the animals you found in the collection, make a range of crafty animal artworks to take home with you. Or simply snuggle up in the cosy storyteller's corner and enjoy fantastic animal inspired tales.

The day also includes the opportunity to visit the Gallery’s current exhibition, Anne Desmet: Kaleidoscope/London Exhibition, which runs until 24 September. The exhibition is ticketed, under 12s can visit for free and on this special family day each child will be able to bring an accompanying adult in for free too!

A story corner with soft cushions, costumes, and building bricks will be available. Storytelling will take place at:

  • 11.30am-11.50am
  • 2.30pm-2.50pm

Please note this family session runs between 10:30- 4pm. Plan to make a day of it - bring a picnic lunch to have in Guildhall Yard, or eat nearby.

This event is for children aged 3-13 and their families, and it is not suitable for individual adults. The activities are free but booking is advised
