Roman London Revealed: Uncover everyday Roman life
Beneath the curious old pathways of the Square Mile lies a rich Roman history surviving 2,000 years of building, fires and bombings.
Explore the Billingsgate Roman House and Baths by descending into the basement of an office block on Lower Thames Street, and discover one of Roman London’s most fascinating remains. First built around A.D. 150 then extended a hundred years later, it was occupied right through to the end of Roman London in the early 5th century A.D. Get close to the protected archaeological remains, which are preserved in immaculate condition, as if the archaeologists have just left the site.
Access is by guided tour only
Public tours take place on Saturdays between April and November, advance booking required. Tickets cost £12 per adult and £10 per child 14 years old or under (additional booking fee applies).

Accessibility: the archaeological site is located in the basement of an office block. The only access is via a staircase (2, 9 and 3 steps).
