Open Garden Evenings at Charterhouse

More Details

Hidden away behind the high walls of a medieval monastery is a large garden, which will be open three evenings in Summer 2024.

Spend a relaxing early evening with enjoying live music, while wandering around the beautiful courtyard gardens at the Charterhouse, designed to enhance and complement this extraordinary historic site. Enjoy live music by the Sol Grimshaw Trio providing a different line-up for each evening, as well as a pop-up bar and two food vans.

Open Gardens Evenings at the Charterhouse - 2024 dates

These private gardens are tended with care all year round by their Head Gardener team for the benefit and pleasure of the residents who live here in the almshouse, and as a sustainable greenspace for wildlife.

They are rarely opened to the public, so don’t miss the opportunity to discover this tranquil haven.

If you haven’t already discovered this urban oasis—here’s your opportunity. It’s only a short walk from Barbican or Farringdon stations.

Note: The Charterhouse sits just outside the City of London boundary and is within walking distance to some of the City’s top attractions.
