After a 250-year absence, the ‘Dictionary Desk’ of celebrated 18th century writer Samuel Johnson makes a historic return to his former abode, Dr Johnson’s House in the City of London.
Ambitious and versatile London choir Eclectic Voices, directed by Guildhall professor Scott Stroman, presents a special performance of the transcendent Mozart Requiem, completed by Robert Levin and featuring four outstanding Guildhall singers as soloists.
An illustrated introduction by Robert Levin will provide audiences with insights into his completion of the Requiem.
Levin is one of the outstanding Mozart pianists of our day, and the evening also offers the chance to hear him perform the composer’s Double Piano Concerto with fellow pianist professor David Dolan, Head of Guildhall's Centre for Creative Performance & Classical Improvisation.
