A revolving programme of family activities may have you heading into the Roman Amphitheatre and hearing tales of Roman conquests, or creating crafts from the Victorian paintings surrounding you.
Join Guildhall Art Gallery on Second Saturday, 14 February, for a celebration of love.
You will explore Victorian symbolism and sentimentality with storytelling and Valentine's card-making with our embossing paper press.
11am to 4pm Creative Activity:
- Choose your coloured card, crank the handle, and create an embossed Valentine's card for your loved ones.
11 am and 2pm Story time:
- Story sessions celebrating love, creativity, art, artists and the City.
There will also be a story zone with cushions, costumes, and soft play building bricks.
Admission
The activities are free; however, booking is encouraged as it helps the Gallery ensure they have enough resources for everybody. Walk-ins are welcome on the day.
The Guildhall Art Gallery is free to enter and offers plenty to explore, so plan to make a day of it. You can bring your lunch to enjoy outside in Guildhall Yard or in the gallery's large cloakroom area.
This event is for children aged 3 to 13 and their families. It is not suitable for individual adults.
Sign up to the family mailing list to be the first to hear about upcoming events.
