About Hook Norton

Hook Norton Brewery is a historic, family-run brewery located in the picturesque village of Hook Norton in Oxfordshire, England. Established in 1849, it remains one of the last surviving Victorian tower breweries, where gravity is used to aid the brewing process. The brewery is renowned for combining traditional methods with modern practices. Hook Norton produces a range of award-winning cask ales, lagers and stouts, such as Old Hooky, Off The Hook IPA and Hooky Mild. A unique feature is its use of shire horses to deliver beer locally, preserving a charming and historic touch.

The brewery also offers guided tours, giving visitors a behind-the-scenes look at the brewing process, a chance to explore its heritage, and enjoy tastings in the on-site bar. Old Hooky

4.6% ABV | Cask | Premium Ale

First brewed to celebrate the Queen’s Silver Jubilee in 1977 – so popular we’ve kept brewing it ever since. The cornerstone of our classic range, beautifully balanced, fruity by nature, with a well-rounded body.

Appearance: Tawny Red.
Aroma: Malty, Fruity.
Taste: Fruity, Sweet.
Body: Full.

Off the hook

4% ABV | Cask | IPA

Ready for some full on refreshment? A strong combination of hops deliver powerful citrus and orange flavours partnered with a crisp clean taste.

Appearance: Pale.
Aroma: Citrus fruit.
Taste: Orange and citrus.
Body: Light.

Haymaker

5% ABV | Cask | Premium Pale Ale

Our strong premium pale ale packed full of the quintessential British hop, Goldings, that delivers a smooth ale with a delicate and light fruit taste. Like sunshine dancing on your tongue.

Appearance: Dark Bronze.
Aroma: Apple, Fruity, Hoppy.
Taste: Rich, Sweet, Fruity.
Body: Medium.

Ironstone Lager

4.4% ABV | Can | Lager

Named after the quarried stone our tower brewery is built from. Crisp, light and the perfect thirst quenching English lager. Taste takes time.

Appearance: Light Gold.
Aroma: Light Fruit.
Taste: Soft Spice.
Body: Light.

Oat Sower

3.3% ABV | Can | Pale Ale | Gluten Free

This light and crisp Pale Ale is packed full of citrus hops with faint notes of tropical fruits.

Appearance: Golden.
